Bicycling - Bike Trails in Big Sur
Highway 1 is open to bicycles and is often used by northbound and southbound touring bicyclists.
Trails for mountain bicycles can be found at the following locations in the Big Sur region:
- Garrapata State Park
- Bixby Creek Bridge / Coast Road (north end)
- Andrew Molera State Park / Coast Road (south end)
Many National Forest trails outside wilderness areas are open to mountain bicycles. Riding is not permitted inside designated wilderness areas and some "front country" trails.
