Public Transit in Big Sur
The Big Sur region has bus (coach) service from Monterey and Carmel as far south as Nepenthe Restaurant provided by Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST).
During the summer months (from Memorial Day weekend in late May through Labor Day weekend in early September), MST's Big Sur service operates daily. During the off season (after Labor Day weekend and before Memorial Day weekend), MST's Big Sur service operates only on Saturdays and Sundays. Special schedules may be in effect on holidays.
